This week we were still working in the topic "the family". One of the books I used is called Bedtime stories for little children, from Usborne.
You can find many videos on youtube, especially Barney videos http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bLjfPnI60iY (part1) - for those parents that don't like music, there are quite some educational songs in there.

Books - Livres

This week we were talking about the family and with the small children we read a book about 2 children - a brother and a sister - that were looking for a missing sheep. It is a book by Usborne, books that are usually only sold in England. I was very happy to find one of the books here in Paris, since the quality is great and the level is good for teaching English as a second language. Those parents that have been asking me where they can buy which books, please let me know if you are interested in further information of such books and I will see what I can do biidhnillah.

Cette semaine, nous avons parlé de la famille et avec les petits enfants nous avons luun livre sur 2 enfants - un frère et une sœur - qui étaient à la recherche d'une brebismanquantes. C'est un livre par Usborne, des livres qui sont généralement seulement vendus en Angleterre. J'ai été très heureux de trouver l'un des livres ici à Paris, puisque la qualité est très bien et le niveau est bon pour enseigner l'anglais comme langue seconde. Les parents qui m'ont demandé où ils peuvent acheter des livres (ou tout le monde qui estintéressé), s'il vous plaît laissez-moi savoir si vous êtes intéressé par plus d' informations de ces livres et je verrai ce que je peux faire biidhnillah.

Our new topic is the family. The children will learn the words:

mum, dad, brother, sister, baby brother, baby sister, pet and friend.

This link brings you to a game with the exact vobaculary that we learned. However there are 2 expressions that we didn't learn yet (fine and a beautiful day), but the child will learn to differenciate between them while playing the game.
